About
Completing a 500-hour program at McKinnon Institute in Oakland shaped how I work with clients today. That education gave me a strong foundation in Swedish technique, but over nine years of practice, I've learned that the most powerful work happens when I blend multiple traditions—deep tissue, Reiki, conscious breathwork, and the long, luxurious strokes that come from my Esalen training.
I'm based in Oakland near Rockridge BART, and I work out of my home studio where I see clients for incall sessions. I also travel throughout the Bay Area—up to 25 miles—bringing my heated table, linens, and music to your home. Whether you're dealing with sore muscles, a physical injury, or something less visible like trauma or body image challenges, I meet you where you are.
My touch is firm and nurturing at once. I can work light if that's what you need, or I can go deep. Before we start, I ask about your body, your comfort, your pressure preferences. And I mean this: arrive with whatever body you have. You never need to apologize. I work with all people—across gender, body type, and race, including trans folks at any stage of transition. Everyone gets the same respectful, caring attention.
I'm also trained in meditation coaching, so if breathwork or guided meditation feels helpful alongside your bodywork, that's something we can explore together. My studio has a shower, private restroom, heated table, and parking. I accept cash, Venmo, and PayPal, and I offer discounts for prepaid packages and repeat clients—ask me about what works for your budget.

Testimonials
Soren showed up on time with everything needed—linens, music, and a very comfortable heated table. His touch is excellent, with superb intuition guiding which strokes and pressure to use throughout. The blend of techniques and the quality of his pressure made for a session that felt both skillful and deeply relaxing. I'd recommend him without hesitation.
On my second visit with Soren, I booked a two-hour session after he responded quickly to my availability question. From the moment he opened his door, his warmth and professionalism were clear. He asked detailed questions about my health and pain points—I mentioned sciatic pain shooting down the back of my left leg that had been keeping me awake at night. Throughout the massage, the different techniques he employed were excellent, and he constantly checked in to ensure the pressure and my comfort were right. When I got off the table, the pain was completely gone, and my sleep has improved dramatically since. He has a real gift in his hands.
Over several occasions, Soren has brought his skills to our home for 90-minute sessions that left my husband and me completely satisfied. He's professional, genuinely caring, and has an intuitive sense of exactly where tension lives in the body. The long, flowing strokes he performs across the body are luxurious and effective. He handles hands and feet with remarkable skill. We highly recommend booking with him.

Multiple clients report significant pain relief and improved sleep after sessions, and they praise his professionalism, warmth, and the quality of his long, flowing strokes. His willingness to bring everything needed for a full experience to clients' homes has also earned strong feedback.
