About
Twenty-three years of working with clients' bodies has taught me that real relief comes from listening—to what your muscles are telling me, to what your nervous system needs in that moment, to the difference between pushing hard and creating genuine ease.
I'm John, and I work out of a private studio in Fort Lauderdale, right in Oakland Park adjacent to Wilton Manors. It's an easy spot to find, with plenty of parking and a quiet, welcoming space where you can actually relax.
My approach draws on training from the Esalen Institute—where I studied their signature massage work—and the myofascial release method developed by John F. Barnes. I blend those with Swedish technique and deep tissue work, depending on what your body needs. I also bring perspective from my background as a registered yoga teacher and personal trainer, so I understand both the physical structure underneath the skin and the energy that moves through it.
Beyond massage, I offer fitness training and yoga instruction for clients who want to deepen their practice or prevent old patterns from returning. My studio is LGBT+ friendly. My clientele is primarily gay and bisexual men, but all are welcome here. What happens in our sessions stays private—that's non-negotiable.
You'll find bottled water, private parking, a comfortable massage table, and soft music. Everything is designed so you can actually let go.

FAQ
What's the difference between Swedish and myofascial release massage?
Swedish massage uses flowing strokes and kneading to ease tension and improve circulation, while myofascial release targets the connective tissue layers beneath muscle to release chronic tightness and restore mobility. I often blend both depending on what your body needs.
