About

Twenty-two years of working with bodies on Maui has taught me something most therapists learn the hard way: the best pressure isn't always the loudest. I trained in Therapeutic Shiatsu at the San Francisco School of Massage, then in Advanced Massage Therapy and Holistic techniques. But what really changed how I work came from listening to what clients actually need—and what their muscles tell me when I'm paying attention.

Most deep tissue work relies on forearms and elbows. They're broad, they move fast, and honestly, they can't feel much. I work with my fists and knuckles instead. That precision lets me focus exactly where tension lives. I can sense how your body responds, where the real restriction is, and adjust the pressure in real time—not just push through.

My clients come to me stressed, tight, in pain. Some have postural problems that won't quit. Some just need their nervous system to calm down. The massage I do uses long, slow healing waves to melt stress deep in the muscles, then lighter, quicker waves to integrate everything. It soothes pain, restores posture, increases energy, gives clarity. People say they leave here feeling completely relaxed and renewed.

I'm a gay man serving the LGBTQ and greater community here in Kihei. My studio, Lomi Hanamana, is a private, confidential space. I'm here Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5:30 p.m. I also travel around Maui for outcalls within a 50-mile radius. Whether you're looking for deep tissue, acupressure, Lomi Lomi, shiatsu, trigger point work, or something that blends several approaches, I adjust to what your body needs that day.

Testimonials

One of my top three massages ever—without question the finest I've had on Maui. The extended continuous pressure flowing from head to feet made a real difference in releasing the stress and tension held in my shoulder area. I'm grateful for your work. — Bobby Irvin

The entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent. The pressure and technique used during my one-hour deep tissue session were exactly right. After I left, much of my pain had disappeared, and I felt both comfortable and at ease. I'd definitely come back.
