About

Twenty-three years of working with bodies in pain has taught me how to listen — not just with my hands, but with intuition. I spent six years at St Anna Memorial Hospital as a physical therapist, helping patients recover from knee and hip replacements and sports injuries using massage as my primary tool. That clinical foundation shaped how I work now, but it's only part of the story.

I completed the National Sport Academy's comprehensive training in every known bodywork technique, and I've never stopped learning. I continue studying, most recently finishing a course in psychosomatic movement that's transformed how I approach healing. My real education comes from the spaces in between — workshops, spiritual retreats, high altitude hiking in remote places. I travel often to recharge the energy I channel into my work, and then I bring that back to my studio here in Chicago.

Eugene's approach blends deep tissue, Swedish massage, aromatherapy, shiatsu, craniosacral work, and floor stretching sessions that combine physical therapy, Thai Chi, and yoga. Four hands massage is available if you're curious — working with a partner creates something special that one person alone cannot touch.

I work by appointment only, serving Chicago and surrounding areas within a 25-mile radius. My studio is in the 60603 ZIP, with free street parking and a heated table in a quiet, candlelit room. You'll also find me mobile, bringing my table directly to your home for those who prefer comfort and convenience.

Clients who've worked with me for years — some for over fifteen years — tell me I find what other therapists miss. They come back because the work is both strong and intuitive, never clinical. I check in constantly about pressure, I listen to what your body is telling me, and I adjust on the fly. For the LGBTQ community in Chicago, I've created a space where you'll feel genuinely welcome and cared for.

Eugene's massage is very therapeutic and professional. He uses different techniques that helped with the pain I was experiencing. The studio was very relaxing, clean, and easy to reach with convenient parking. I've seen him in both Milwaukee and Chicago, and both locations were excellent. I highly recommend him — he solved a recurring back and hip issue that had bothered me for over three years. I've seen him multiple times over the past year, and his work never disappoints. If you want a great professional offering quality massage, Eugene is your person.

This was my first 90 minute appointment with Eugene. He delivered a very relaxing massage backed by technical skill, but what stood out was his willingness to explain the spiritual and philosophical aspects of his work. His knowledge and genuine care for the craft were obvious from start to finish. His location is convenient with ample free parking, and the studio has a warm, inviting atmosphere. Setting up an appointment was straightforward, and I've found my therapist in Chicago.

Hemasseur's Take

Clients consistently praise Eugene for his intuitive ability to pinpoint problem areas without being told and his combination of strong, deep pressure work with gentle, relaxing technique. His background as a physical therapist shows in his approach to sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain, and longtime regulars spanning over fifteen years repeatedly mention his knowledge, warm presence, and willingness to adjust techniques based on what your body needs rather than following a standard template. The four hands massage option with his partner receives particular acclaim, and the LGBTQ community specifically notes his welcoming, affirming energy and genuine care throughout sessions.
