About

The SOMA Institute in Chicago taught me the clinical foundation, but it was 30 years of Tai Chi and meditation that taught me how to listen. After 16 years as a corporate director, I realized I needed something different—work that would let me build meaning into each day instead of chasing the next rung. I started my own transformation, and that's when 13 years of bodywork became more than a career shift. It became a calling.

I blend western clinical training with eastern modalities because pain doesn't live in just one place. It settles in your body and your mind, and both need attention. When you come to my studio in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago, you'll experience a mix of techniques—deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial release, Reiki, Shiatsu, reflexology, prenatal and postnatal work, neuromuscular release, and sports massage. What matters most is that I listen first. I check in as I work. I create space for you to let go.

I've worked in the LGBTQ+ community for many years. Everyone who walks through my door will find a safe space to relax and heal. I'm licensed (LIC #227.016958) and available both in-studio and for mobile sessions serving Chicago and surrounding areas. You'll sit on a heated table, sip bottled water, park for free, and feel genuinely cared for. That's not a luxury. That's the baseline.

Testimonials

Jose listened carefully to everything I told him about my pain points and worked through every single one. He kept checking in during the session to make sure I was comfortable. His skill and knowledge are obvious, but what really stuck with me was how much he cared. This was hands-down the best massage I've ever experienced. I'm already booking another appointment.
