About

Eighteen years of work in Chicago has taught me what most therapists figure out too late: you can't separate the muscles from the person using them. I've built my practice around that simple truth.

I spent over 20 years in bodybuilding, and that foundation shaped everything I do now. I understand how athletes and active people move, where their bodies hold tension, and what real recovery feels like. When someone comes in stiff from the gym or tight from desk work, I don't just treat the symptom. I find what's driving it.

I'm trained in deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point work, and Swedish technique. I studied at Cortiva in Chicago from 2007 to 2008, and I've been refining my approach ever since. My hands are strong, and I know how to use that strength with precision. Clients tell me I can find the knots they didn't even know were there. The pressure is never harsh. It's exactly what you need.

I work in-studio here in Chicago and also serve clients throughout the area. I take real pride in my work, and I've built a list of loyal clients who keep coming back. You can be one of them. Text me to schedule, and let's get you feeling good.

Testimonials

After being told I had a pinched nerve in my lower back, I could barely move. Ross worked on the locked-up area and I felt pain relief during the session itself, but the real change came the next day—almost completely better. Highly recommended.

I got a deep tissue therapeutic massage from Ross and can't speak highly enough of it. He's a gentle giant with incredible strength and know-how, but combines that with gentleness and genuine care. He really heard what I needed and zeroed in on the areas that needed the most work. I left both relaxed and totally comfortable. If you want a therapist who's powerful yet calming, this is your place.

I've had many different styles of massage in my life, and I can say without hesitation that Ross is simply the best. I booked a 90-minute session that actually went longer. He welcomed me into his space, showed me to his dedicated massage room, and asked about problem areas before we started. He's a tall, strong guy with big hands that cover a lot of ground, but what impressed me most was his focus on the smaller areas that needed special attention. He has the skill, training, and dedication—and on top of all that, a genuinely upbeat personality that made me feel very welcome. You really are the best.

FAQ

How much does deep tissue massage cost in Chicago?

Deep tissue massage at Ross's studio costs $150 for 60 minutes or $220 for 90 minutes. He also offers sports massage and trigger point work at the same rates, which can be layered into a single session based on your needs.

Is there a mobile massage therapist serving Chicago?

Yes, Ross offers both in-studio and mobile massage services throughout Chicago and surrounding areas. Text to schedule, and he'll arrange a time that works for your location.

What's the best massage for lower back pain?

Deep tissue and trigger point massage are highly effective for lower back pain, especially when the therapist knows which muscles are causing the tightness. Ross specializes in finding those spots and using sustained pressure and myofascial release to break up tension. Many clients report significant relief after a single session.

Can I book a same-day appointment in Chicago?

Ross's hours run 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Text to check availability for same-day or next-day appointments. He typically accommodates requests when his schedule allows.

What's the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?

Swedish massage uses longer, lighter strokes and focuses on relaxation and stress relief. Deep tissue uses slower, more sustained pressure to reach muscle tension beneath the surface. Ross offers both, and he'll recommend which suits your goals—or blend them into a single session.
