About

Seventeen years of working with people's bodies teaches you something simple: your body knows what it needs. You just have to listen.

I've been practicing massage in Boston since 2009, when I completed my training at The Massage School right here in Massachusetts. That's nearly two decades of learning what works, what doesn't, and — most importantly — how to hear what your body is actually asking for.

Yes, I know all the latest techniques. Deep tissue, trigger point, sports massage, Swedish, conscious breathwork — I use them all. But here's what I've learned: the best massage isn't about showing off technique. It's about responding to what you need to feel alive and whole again.

When you come to my studio in Boston or I visit you at home, we start simple. Tell me what's happening in your body. Where's the tension? What brought you in? Is it stress, an old injury, tight shoulders from your desk, or something you can't quite name? I listen, and then I work.

That's why my clients leave happy. Not because I performed some magical sequence, but because they received exactly what they came for. Relief. Recovery. The chance to feel like themselves again. It's that simple. It's effective. It's healing.

That's why I love what I do.

FAQ

How much does a massage cost in Boston?

A 60-minute session at my studio costs $120, a 90-minute session is $160, and a two-hour session is $220. I also offer mobile massage service, so you can book a session at your home in Boston or surrounding areas at the same rates.

Does Carl offer mobile massage in Boston?

Yes, I offer both in-studio sessions and mobile massage service. Whether you prefer coming to my studio or having me visit you at home in Boston, the rates and technique options are the same.

What massage techniques do you use?

I work with deep tissue, trigger point, sports massage, Swedish massage, and conscious breathwork. I blend these techniques based on what your body needs rather than following a rigid script.

What should I expect from a deep tissue massage in Boston?

Deep tissue work targets the deeper muscle layers to release chronic tension and restricted areas. I adjust pressure and intensity based on your feedback — it should feel effective and relieving, not painful.

Do you offer same-day appointments in Boston?

My studio hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and ongoing. Call or message to check availability for a same-day or next-available appointment.

Is your Boston studio accessible?

Yes, my studio is fully handicapped accessible. I also have a heated massage table, sauna, private restroom, shower, and secure entrance with parking available nearby.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and digital payments via Venmo or Zelle.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes — ask me about discounts when you prepay for a package of bodywork sessions. It's a great way to commit to your recovery and save.

From the Hemasseur Team

Carl is a massage therapist in Boston, Massachusetts with 17 years of experience since completing his training at The Massage School in 2009. He works in studio and offers mobile massage service to clients throughout Boston and surrounding areas. Carl specializes in deep tissue, trigger point, sports, Swedish, and conscious breathwork techniques, blending them to address each client's specific needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. His practice focuses on listening to what the body is asking for — whether that's relief from chronic tension, recovery from sports injury, stress reduction, or restoration after a long period of strain. Clients who leave his sessions report feeling heard, relieved, and genuinely restored. He's especially well-suited for people carrying tension from desk work, athletic activity, or stress who want a therapist who combines technical skill with genuine attention to individual body needs.
