Training at the Academy of Beauty and Esthetics in Los Angeles back in 2012 gave me a solid foundation in massage therapy, but it's the 14 years since then working here in Virginia Beach that taught me what clients really need. I became certified in traditional Thai massage during my time in Thailand, and that experience changed how I work with tension and muscle restriction. Thai massage uses stretching and pressure point release to target those tight spots that won't let go, and I've found it works beautifully alongside Swedish and deep tissue techniques depending on what your body's asking for.
