About

Eighteen years of spa and chiropractic work taught me something important: the body holds both tension and potential, and massage is the conversation between the two. I've spent nearly two decades refining my ability to listen through my hands, learning how different bodies move, hold stress, and respond to care.

My background as a competitive gymnast and semi-professional dancer gave me an early education in body mechanics that I still draw on every day. I've continued that learning through yoga practice, which keeps me grounded in how movement and breath shape our physical and mental lives. That lived understanding of what it feels like to push the body, recover from it, and rebuild it—that's what I bring to my work with every client.

I'm now focusing my practice on serving the LGBT+ community in Emeryville and surrounding areas. I've built Rex's massage practice on the belief that you deserve care that addresses both your physical pain and your need to feel safe and understood. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing chronic tension, or simply need space to breathe and let go, I blend deep therapeutic work—trigger point, deep tissue, sports massage, lymphatic drainage—with techniques like aromatherapy and hot stone that help you fully relax.

My studio is based right here in Emeryville with plenty of street parking, and I also offer mobile massage within a 10-mile radius. Text me your name, preferred date, time, and session length to get started.
