About

Twenty-six years of hands-on work with clients across Long Beach has taught me something most people don't expect to hear from a massage therapist: touch is about so much more than muscles. It's about permission. Permission to let go, to feel safe in your own body, to release what you've been carrying alone.

I came into this work understanding that bodywork could help with tension and pain. What I've learned over more than two decades is that the real healing happens when someone finally feels seen and cared for in a space that's genuinely theirs. During times like these, when stress and isolation weigh so heavily, that matters more than ever.

I work with all genders, all ages, all body types, and clients with special needs. My in-studio sessions at my Long Beach office and mobile appointments throughout the area run seven days a week, from early morning through late evening. Whether you come to me, or I come to you, my approach is the same: I listen first, work second. Your goals matter. Your comfort in your own skin matters. Your session is custom-built around what you actually need, not what I think you should want.

I blend acupressure, Swedish technique, deep tissue, shiatsu, sports work, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, conscious breathwork, aromatherapy, and chair massage. I can offer meditation coaching, personal coaching, and personal training as well. But what ties it all together is this: I make space for you to be yourself, to reconnect with your body without judgment or rush, and to walk out feeling like something real happened.

Testimonials

Brooks has been my therapist several times now. Beyond the excellent service at a very reasonable price, what stands out is how real and caring he is. That makes a huge difference in how I experience the work—I feel safe and reassured. His technique and touch are outstanding, particularly for my low back, glutes, and legs after my runs.

Brooks warned me his bodywork was addictive and that clients found his touch unusual, and he was absolutely right. Even before arriving at his office, I was impressed by his professionalism and the information he shared. His calm voice and energy put me at ease before I even got on the table. His touch felt like a current pulsing through my body, and whether it was energy work or the sensation of stress draining away, I left feeling incredible. The warm oil felt wonderful, and his fingers seemed to know exactly where all my tension lived. The pressure, pacing, and care surpassed anything I'd experienced before. Everything was clean and fresh, and he took real time to understand what I needed. It was custom, unhurried, and exactly what I asked for. I'm telling my friends about him because it's rare to find someone who knows how to work the body without being threatening and actually listens and delivers.

Hemasseur's Take

Across his client base, Brooks stands out for his unusual touch, his ability to make people feel safe and genuinely cared for, and his custom approach to each session that addresses both physical tension and emotional wellbeing.

Clients frequently mention specific body areas receiving relief—low back, glutes, and legs are common—and many note that Brooks' work goes beyond muscle work to help them reconnect with their bodies and release deep stress. The combination of affordability, professionalism, a clean studio environment, and his unhurried, attentive presence consistently emerges as the reason clients return repeatedly and recommend him to others.
