About
Deep tissue, Swedish, Ayurvedic work, energy balancing, assisted stretching — the blend matters as much as the pressure. After more than 10 years working with clients across Los Angeles, I've learned that real relief comes when you listen to the body first and apply technique second. That's the foundation of every session in my Sherman Oaks studio.
I work with what your body needs on the day you arrive. Some clients come in tight from running or desk work and need strong, sustained pressure through the knots. Others carry stress differently — held in their shoulders, their breath, their nervous system. I've trained in Ayurvedic bodywork and energy-balancing methods that let me read where tension lives and what kind of touch will actually release it, not just move it around.
My studio is a real space for rest. Soft lighting, candles, clean air, water waiting for you. No fluorescent hum, no rush. I work in-studio here in Sherman Oaks, and I also travel throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas with my table and setup, so if coming to me isn't practical, I come to you.
The clients I work with longest tend to be athletes in recovery, people dealing with chronic pain or stress, and anyone who's learned that a good massage isn't a luxury — it's maintenance. I welcome everyone: all backgrounds, all identities, all bodies. This space is judgment-free and professional from the moment you contact me.
If you're burned out, tense, or just need to feel like yourself again, that reset starts with a conversation about what your body's telling you. Let's book.

Testimonials
I arrived tense, exhausted, and completely off balance, my body heavy with stress. This professional work released deep muscle tension, cleared my head, and restored my energy. I left feeling lighter, focused, and fully restored. Highly suggested.
I recently had treatment from an exceptional massage therapist who's made a real difference in my life. His commitment to his work is clear in every session, and I'm grateful for the relief he's brought to my shoulder pain. From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. He listens to my concerns and shapes each massage to address my specific problems. His deep knowledge of anatomy and method, refined through his studies in India, truly sets him apart. You can feel his care for healing and helping others. After just a few sessions, my shoulder pain improved significantly. His skilled hands work out tension and knots that had been bothering me for months. The combination of his knowledge and intuition makes each visit feel like a personalized healing experience. If you want a massage therapist who is skilled and genuinely cares about your health, I wholeheartedly suggest him. He is nothing short of special.
Alex-Max is hands down the best massage therapist I've been to. He just understands — extremely intuitive, skilled, and he creates a really relaxing atmosphere. I walked in stressed and left feeling completely restored. The space is welcoming and inclusive as well. 100% suggest.
An wonderful experience and so flexible. I contacted this excellent massage therapist and he was at my door basically right away. He is a must try.
True art of massage. He has worked on me for the last few months and greeted me with kindness and warmth each time. The massage itself is detailed, intuitive, responsive, and carefully shaped to your needs. He has excellent knowledge, insight and mastery in his craft. You feel in very capable hands, and you leave soothed, refreshed and ready to face the world again.
Max is truly unique. I've had massages all over Los Angeles, but nothing comes close to what he creates. The moment you enter, you feel safe, welcomed, and well cared for. He intuitively knows exactly where your body holds tension and works it out with just the right amount of force, blending deep tissue, stretching, and energy work in a way that feels both therapeutic and deeply relaxing. After the session, I felt lighter, calmer, and more connected to who I am. It's not just massage — it's healing. Can't speak highly enough.
I had an extraordinary experience with Alex-Max. His skill in balancing chakras, bodywork, and energy is very striking. Since working with him, I've noticed a real improvement in managing my emotions — they come and I handle them quickly. My overall balance has improved, and my sleep has been consistently strong. I suggest Alex-Max for anyone looking for overall wellness and energy work.
All I can say is wow he did an excellent job. The pressure used in the massage was perfect and his hands were soft with good power.
Leo understood my needs properly. I have a few problems with my back and he shaped the massage specially for me. I will come back for sure. Thanks.
Great massage and body scrub. Very soothing and deep. He used a mix of different massage strokes: thai, Swedish, deep tissue. I did the 90 minutes and it was wonderful. So nice to be rubbed down, scrubbed, rinsed off and then dried. I felt like royalty. Definitely a more personalized experience than just a regular Korean spa.
A wonderful therapist. He got back to me quickly and set up an appointment for the same day. He came with everything needed for the massage. He is a kind, quiet gentleman with a soothing presence. His method is excellent. I asked for a gliding Swedish massage and he delivered. I could tell he is capable of deep tissue work but I never care to have that. Highly suggest him.
I had a 90-minute scrub and massage experience that was fantastic. The pricing was reasonable, and my skin was so soft and refreshed after. The massage itself was perfect, blending multiple techniques that felt both soothing and deeply therapeutic. He seemed to intuitively know exactly where my sore spots were and used the right pressure to work through my tense muscles. Highly suggested.
Alex was absolutely wonderful. This was my first time using him for a massage at my place, and I highly suggest that you do as well. I felt so relaxed and my neck and back pain was so much better after. Really nice guy as well. I will definitely set up another appointment.
He is a highly skilled massage therapist who's also very personable and aware of his client's needs and comfort. I strongly suggest booking him.
I've been in serious pain for months and found him here. He got back to me quickly and fit me in the same day. This was one of the most intense massages I've ever had. He knew exactly where to start and checked in about whether the pressure was too light or too deep. I can take pain so I asked him to go deep, and he did. This is the first time this year I can take a full breath without forcing it. My body was pretty damaged and in just this one session, I feel like a new person and my movement has increased. Booking again for sure.
He offered a massage that, while not exceptional in releasing my shoulders and lower back, was calming. His gentle touch, combined with the wonderful sound bath healing and hot tub experience, brought a unique and soothing aspect to the session.
I just moved to the area and needed a new massage therapist. He was a real pro. Before the session he was quick, responsive, and flexible. During the session he was kind and calm. I got deep tissue and he delivered. Strong but not harsh touch and got the spots I needed. I've already rebooked with him.
Alex is far more than your typical massage therapist. He is a holistic mind, body, spirit guide that helped me work through a serious lower back issue with intuitive massage, meditation, and listening to my muscles to understand where I was holding grief and pain. I would highly suggest him if you are looking for somebody to help you build routines that go along with his massage and resolve your muscle and spirit related issues.
I had the best massage of my life. Alex-Max applied strong pressure to all the right spots, which left me feeling completely at ease. I had been feeling worn down before, but after the massage, I felt like a whole new person. I cannot suggest this enough. If you want to unwind, de-stress, and feel restored, this is the massage for you. Trust me, you won't be sorry.
This was an excellent massage. I really enjoyed his method and my back really appreciated his work. It's one of the best massages I've had. Definitely will come back.
The experience was unlike anything I'd had before. From the first touch, it felt like traveling through a galaxy. Incredibly soothing and almost dreamlike. Even days afterward, I remained calm, at ease, and fully reset. It was more than massage — it was complete body and mind renewal. Highly suggested.
He is very skilled and dedicated to the craft of massage. He makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. He was very polite, thoughtful and aware of my needs. His strokes are long and calming and he found all the tense knots that needed to be worked out. His studio is very clean and comfortable with a walk in shower for use at the end of the session. I left very satisfied and feeling surprisingly refreshed. I feel like he is a new friend with a special gift.
My first encounter with Alex/Max was wonderful, and I want to book another session. The space was hospitable and calm. He asked what pressure level I wanted, and given my routine massages, I requested moderate pressure, which was spot on. Being a runner, I need stronger pressure on my IT bands, and he skillfully handled those areas. After the session, my legs felt exceptionally relaxed, something I don't recall happening before. The 90 minutes flew by, but I plan to return soon.

Just moved to LA and needed to find a new therapist. He is the best massage therapist I've ever had and really knew where I needed the help without me saying anything. Very skilled massage and I'll use him for all my recovery days after my races.

FAQ
Does Alex offer mobile massage in Los Angeles?
Yes. I travel throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas within a 25-mile radius, bringing my own table and everything needed for a full session at your home or office. Mobile sessions run $170 for 60 minutes, $220 for 90 minutes, or $270 for 120 minutes. Same-day appointments are often available — just reach out.
What's the difference between deep tissue and Swedish massage?
Swedish massage uses longer, flowing strokes to ease tension and improve circulation — great if you want relaxation without intensity. Deep tissue targets knots and chronic tightness with sustained, firmer pressure. I blend both depending on what your body needs. We'll talk through your preference before the session starts.
How much does a 90-minute massage cost in Los Angeles?
A 90-minute session costs $160 in my Sherman Oaks studio or $220 if I come to you. That includes whatever combination of techniques makes sense for your body — deep tissue, Swedish, stretching, scrub work, energy balancing.
Is Ayurvedic massage different from regular massage?
Ayurvedic massage draws on traditional Indian healing methods and focuses on balancing energy flow, releasing emotional holding patterns, and working with the body's subtle systems alongside the physical muscles. It's often slower, more meditative, and uses rhythm and intuition alongside technique. I weave this into sessions for clients who feel drawn to it.
Can I book a same-day massage appointment in Los Angeles?
Often yes. I keep some same-day slots open both at the studio and for mobile bookings. Response times are usually quick — contact me directly and I'll let you know what's available. Peak times fill faster, but I work hard to fit clients in when they need it.
What should I expect during my first massage session?
We'll start with a conversation about what brought you in — pain, tension, stress, athletic recovery, whatever it is — and what pressure level feels right for you. I'll ask questions about your body and listen. During the massage, you're fully covered except the area I'm working on. The room stays calm, music soft, temperature warm. Afterward, take your time getting up. Many clients book again right away.
Do you offer body scrub treatments?
Yes. Body scrub sessions remove dead skin and leave your skin soft and refreshed. I often combine a scrub with massage in the same session — it's a spa-quality experience that takes 60 to 90 minutes. Clients consistently report feeling like they've been truly cared for.
What payment methods do you accept?
I take cash, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Visa. Book and pay however is easiest for you.
