About

Twenty-nine years of working with bodies—that's long enough to know what real recovery looks like, and what it takes to get there. When I started, I was focused on one thing: helping people move better and hurt less. Over the decades, I've learned that the deepest work happens when you slow down enough to actually feel what's happening. That's why my practice in Los Angeles centers on a specific flow: begin in warm saltwater, let the nervous system downregulate with guided breath, then move to the table for deep, connected work.

I work primarily with active men and hard-training clients—athletes, people with demanding jobs, anyone whose body carries the weight of serious physical use. You know the feeling: tension locked into the traps, lats, glutes, and low back. Density in the chest and shoulders that won't release on its own. My job is to access that tension with real skill and real pressure.

Each session starts outside in my private saltwater spa. Watsu-inspired floating, traction, and supported stretching let the spine, hips, and shoulders fully decompress—especially effective if you're carrying dense muscle through your upper back. On the table, I blend deep Swedish bodywork, assisted stretching, and reflexology, working focused on where training load accumulates. I finish with a sound bath to ground everything and leave you feeling lighter.

My studio is in the Carthay Circle area between Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, with private driveway parking and a truly tranquil outdoor space. I'm also available for mobile massage serving Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. I provide professional, non-discriminatory massage services and proudly welcome gay and LGBT clients.

Testimonials

I don't write many reviews, but this experience deserved it. Brian's space is secluded, peaceful, private, and very professional. The Watsu in the saltwater plunge pool is genuinely mind-altering—he guides you through every step, encouraging relaxation and deep breathing. Inside on the table, the deep tissue work was excellent, with stretching that I really needed for the physical work I do. He ended with a sound bath that was mesmerizing. It felt like a one-of-a-kind experience. I highly recommend booking.

The moment the gate opened, I knew I'd made the right choice. Brian was holding burning sage as he walked me to his studio. The space is tranquil and feels like a five-star spa. The time in the water with guided meditation was wonderful, and I was already so relaxed. The massage was worth the wait—his hands and the oils he uses create a space where body, mind, and soul feel cared for. He ends with a sound bath that I love. I left feeling clear and at peace. I'd recommend him highly.

This was my seventh session with Brian, and like all the others, it was breathtaking. Walking into the zen garden helps me leave the real world behind. Each time I return, I can relax more deeply and trust his work. The combination of the whirlpool, the massage, and the sound therapy is the best I've ever experienced. Thank you.

Hemasseur's Take

Clients consistently emphasize that Brian's sessions deliver a complete sensory and physical transformation, particularly the combination of Watsu floating in the saltwater spa with deep tissue work and sound bath closure. Reviewers report specific relief in tight areas like the back, legs, glutes, and hips, alongside a state of deep relaxation and mental clarity that extends beyond the session itself.

What distinguishes his work in their accounts is his attentiveness, his ability to read and treat each person individually, and the peaceful beauty of his private studio space—combined with nearly three decades of skill applied with both strength and genuine care.

What is Watsu massage and how does it help with recovery?

Watsu is a form of massage performed in warm water that uses floating, supported stretching, and guided breathwork to decompress the spine, hips, and shoulders while downregulating the nervous system. It's particularly effective for athletes and active people whose upper back, chest, and hips carry dense muscle tension.
