About

Back in 1994, I trained at the San Francisco School of Massage in the mid-90s—a time when deep tissue technique was still being refined and Swedish massage formed the core of what most therapists offered. That foundation shaped everything I do now, 27 years later, in the Warm Sands area of Palm Springs.

I've spent nearly three decades working with clients who come to me tight, stressed, or hurting. What I've learned is simple: you shouldn't feel rushed. The massage I offer is the one I'd want to receive myself. That means a full hour of my attention, blending Swedish and deep tissue in whatever way your body needs. I pay attention during the session—I welcome your feedback before we start and as we work—because every person carries tension differently.

My studio here in Palm Springs has soft music and proper lighting. There's a shower available if you want to freshen up. I also travel to clients in other cities and always bring a table with me, so the quality stays the same whether you're seeing me in California or elsewhere. I don't do ninety-minute sessions or outcalls—I keep my practice to what I can do well, which is one-hour, in-studio sessions where I can really focus on your needs. Text or email me to schedule. You won't feel rushed. That's a promise I've kept for 27 years.

Testimonials

I hadn't experienced a truly good massage in years until I saw Bret. If you're in Palm Springs or he's visiting your city, it's worth seeking him out. He provided a clean, comfortable space with perfectly chosen music for relaxation. As someone younger who does a lot of lifting and twisting, I needed serious therapeutic work, not just a basic rub. Bret showed real expertise with the right amount of pressure applied exactly where I needed it, working tension out from head to toe. His rates are fair for the quality, and his personality makes the whole experience better. I'd absolutely return and strongly recommend him.

My first session with Bret left me wondering why I'd waited so long to get a massage. From the moment he touched my back, I felt I was in capable hands. He made me feel welcome and at ease. I walked out feeling refreshed and looking forward to the next time I can see him.

I've been working with Bret over several years and keep coming back. He responds quickly to text messages, is personable and engaging, and most importantly, he has the strength and skill to deliver real deep tissue work. When I request deep tissue, he finds the spots where tension is hiding and focuses on them. His rates are fair for the desert, especially considering how well he does his work. If you haven't tried him, you probably will become a regular.

FAQ

How much does deep tissue massage cost in Palm Springs?

One-hour deep tissue massage sessions are $120 at my studio in Palm Springs. That's below the local average and reflects fair pricing for high-quality work with 27 years of experience behind it.

Do you offer mobile massage in Palm Springs?

I do travel to clients in other cities and bring a professional massage table with me. However, I do not offer outcalls—all sessions happen in my Palm Springs studio or when I'm visiting your area.

What's the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?

Swedish massage uses flowing, moderate pressure to relax muscles and improve circulation. Deep tissue targets tension deeper in the muscle and fascia with firmer, focused pressure. I blend both techniques based on what your body needs in each session.

How long should a massage session be?

I only offer one-hour sessions. That's enough time to warm up your muscles, find where tension lives, and actually work it out without you feeling rushed. Ninety-minute sessions aren't part of what I do.

Can I get a same-day appointment in Palm Springs?

I'm available 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. Text or email me to check availability for same-day or next-day scheduling. I'm prompt with responses.

Where did you train as a massage therapist?

I earned my Certificate of Massage Therapy from the San Francisco School of Massage in 1994. That training in deep tissue and Swedish technique forms the foundation of how I work today, 27 years into my career.

Do you accept gift certificates?

Yes, gift certificates are available. They make a thoughtful gift for someone who could use an hour of real relief and focused attention.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Contact me by text or email to schedule and discuss payment options.
