About

Training at the San Francisco School of Massage in 2009 taught me the fundamentals, but what I've learned in the years since comes from a different kind of education altogether. Over 8,000 massages later, I've discovered what my hands can do when they're paired with real presence and intention.

I'm a full-time bodywork artist, and I keep my practice intentional. Two sessions a day, maximum. That means my energetic output stays high, and you get all of me.

What I do is blend Thai massage with deep tissue work. I use my hands, forearms, elbows, knees, feet, even my rib cage. I iron you out like a wrinkled shirt, then use raw coconut oil to elongate your body back to its optimal state. I reach for the core of the earth through you. Some people ask if I go deep. I do. Nobody goes deeper. But don't worry—I'll only go as deep as you like.

My studio sits on a sun-drenched mezzanine in San Francisco. It's always heated, filled with plants, massive Persian rugs, and a Harman Kardon sound system that matters. The moment you walk in, your nervous system shifts.

I cycle, hike, rock climb, dance, meditate daily. That's not separate from my work—it's part of how I show up on the table. I'm aligned. You'll float out of the room.

Testimonials

With 15 years in massage therapy myself, I'd rank Dan in the top 1 percent of therapists I've encountered. When I saw him while visiting London, his combination of deep tissue technique and stretching was unlike anything I'd experienced. Dan's work is completely unique and customized to the individual. Beyond the bodywork, he's a genuinely wonderful person to spend time with.

I've been seeing Dan for years and he's exceptional. The studio is comfortable and serene, his technique is excellent, and he's completely professional. His large hands and feet help dissolve tension and stress with ease. The music during sessions is brilliant. I'm always looking forward to my next appointment.

I spent years looking for someone who could deliver on the promise of deep work. Other therapists claim depth, but Dan actually achieves it. As an athlete, I know he understands what my body requires. Throughout each session, he maintains complete focus and seems to be channeling energy from something larger than himself. The quality is extremely high. He's my go-to therapist.

Hemasseur's Take

Across his client base, Dan stands out for delivering genuinely deep structural release while maintaining complete presence and intuitive responsiveness throughout each session. Athletes and long-term clients consistently mention that his work actually achieves the depth other therapists promise, combined with an almost energetic quality that extends relief well beyond the table.

Clients also note the marked difference his studio environment makes—the calm, heated space helps their nervous systems settle before the bodywork even begins.
