About

Twenty-four years of working with bodies in motion — that's what's taught me to listen through my hands. When you've spent two decades watching how tension settles into a shoulder, how breath unlocks a tight hip, how the right pressure at the right moment can shift everything, you stop thinking about massage as a series of techniques and start thinking about it as a conversation between two nervous systems.

I came up through the Big Island Academy of Massage back in 2001, and then went to Thailand to study Thai massage at ITM in Chiang Mai. But my real education happened in the studio, in Honolulu, with clients who taught me what actually works. Over the years I've drawn from Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue, Esalen, Shiatsu, CranioSacral work, and a dozen other approaches — each one is a tool. What matters is knowing when to use it.

My studio sits in Ala Moana with views that settle your mind before you even lie down. The space itself is part of the healing: warm tables, a curated sound system that I weave into each session, hot stones, showers, secure parking. I've also recently completed a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University, because I knew that holding space for someone's body means sometimes holding space for their nervous system, their emotions, their need to reset.

These days I work in-studio and mobile throughout Honolulu, serving Waikiki, Kaka'ako, Chinatown, and surrounding areas. I offer massage and bodywork, yes. But I also teach yoga, guide meditation, and work with personal training — whatever your body and mind actually need. Every session is shaped by what you walk in with, not by what's on the menu.

I'm LGBT-friendly and genuinely honored to work with anyone seeking real relief and real care.

Testimonials

I get massages all the time, but this one was the best. David has a spiritual energy that enabled him to discern what I needed. His stretches were the best I’ve ever had, and his pressure points were perfect. They picked up every sore spot that I had. This guy is phenomenal.

I am deeply grateful for David’s gifts as a massage therapist. I have had the opportunity to experience many practitioners through the years, and David, hands down, is the best ever. My recent massage was helpful not only to my physical aches and pains, but also to my emotional well being. David has an undeniable spiritual energy that comes through his hands. He’s clearly an intuitive, or there’s some magic he has up his sleeve as he seems to know exactly where to move next and how much pressure to apply. And he stretched me, too. Massage and yoga combined? Wow! His techniques and skill are exceptional. David is nothing nothing short of phenomenal. I’m coming back for more.

After my massage appointment with David, I felt that it would be a disservice to him and his skills if I did not leave a review about how great of a threapist he is. The experience was transformative in all ways possible. The physical changes that my body felt after leaving the session were incredible. Whatever aches and pain I had were gone, and I felt completely rejuvenated. His intuitive skills, attention and focus really make for an unforgettable relaxing experience. I was completely in a blissful state that I fell asleep from being so relaxed. He's is simply the best. Attentive, caring and thoughtful. 100% Will be booking again! Thank you David!

FAQ

How much does deep tissue massage cost in Honolulu?

A 60-minute deep tissue session is $145, and 90-minute sessions are $185. Deep tissue is one of several techniques I use, often blended with stretching and other approaches to address the specific tension you carry.

What is Lomi Lomi massage?

Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian massage that uses flowing, rhythmic strokes and often incorporates the forearms and elbows to work deeper tissue. I trained in this technique as part of my work here in Hawaii, and I blend it with other methods depending on what your body needs.

Does David offer same-day appointments in Honolulu?

Yes, I do take same-day appointments when my schedule allows. I'm available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, and you can text me with your name and details to check availability. I also serve mobile clients throughout Honolulu, so flexibility is part of how I work.

What's the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?

Swedish massage uses lighter, flowing strokes and is gentler on the nervous system, while deep tissue targets deeper muscle layers with firmer pressure. I use both, often in the same session, depending on where your body holds tension and what your nervous system needs in that moment.

Do you offer mobile massage in Honolulu?

Yes, I provide both in-studio sessions at my Ala Moana location and mobile massage throughout Honolulu, including Waikiki, Kaka'ako, and Chinatown. You can text to arrange a time that works for you.

What is CranioSacral therapy?

CranioSacral therapy is a gentle hands-on technique that works with the fluid surrounding your brain and spinal cord to release tension and reset your nervous system. It's subtle but deeply effective, and I often incorporate it at the end of sessions for a profound sense of calm.

Are there discounts for massage packages in Honolulu?

Yes, I offer discounts on prepaid bodywork packages. I also provide special rates for students, active military, repeat clients, dancers, massage therapists, and several other groups — just ask when you book.

What should I expect during my first massage in Honolulu?

Your first session starts with a conversation about what brought you in and what you're hoping for. Then you'll lie on a warm table in a private room while I work through your body, listening to where tension lives. The session includes stretching, and you'll have access to a shower afterward. Many clients feel a deep sense of calm that lasts for hours.
