About

My education at Winona State University grounded me in exercise science, and that foundation shaped how I see the body — not as isolated parts, but as an interconnected system. When I later studied Education Technology at Dakota State, I realized that learning happens through direct experience, through presence, through being truly met. That's what I bring to my work now, across 10 years of practice in Minneapolis.

I'm Alex, a massage therapist and nervous system specialist working with men who are ready to move beyond surface-level relief. What drew me to this work wasn't the mechanics of massage — it was the moment when someone exhales deeply and realizes they've been holding their breath for months. That moment when the armor comes down.

My sessions are rooted in Be Activated, a body-based method that works with your nervous system to unwind tension, stored emotion, and survival patterns you may have been carrying for years. I layer in deep tissue, myofascial release, neuromuscular work, trigger point therapy, and conscious breathwork — whatever your body needs in that moment. The pressure, the pace, the focus — it's all intuitive and responsive to you.

Clients often tell me the massage feels like a full system reset. Breath deepens. Body opens. Mind finally gets quiet. What makes this different is that I'm not performing a technique on you — I'm listening to your body and meeting it where it is. You're not here to impress me or prove anything. There's nothing to do but receive.

Whether you're dealing with chronic stress, postural tension from years at a desk, emotional fatigue, or simply need a safe place to exhale, I'm here. My studio in Minneapolis is fully accessible, calm, and equipped with everything you need to sink into deep rest. I'm open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day, and I also serve clients throughout Minneapolis and surrounding areas with mobile sessions.

You deserve to feel good in your body. Let's start there.

Testimonials

I saw Alex today and without question he's the best on this site. He started by asking what kind of massage I was seeking. I don't like deep work, and Alex followed my preferences perfectly. He's professional, easy to chat with while on the table, and his hands are strong with spot-on, very relaxing touch. He was incredibly accommodating and patient before our schedules aligned, and I'm glad I waited to see only him.

Alex is very warm, friendly, and made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was soft and warm. He listens to his clients. His massage ranged from soft to firm and was very soothing to my sore muscles. Not rushed and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

This was easily a top-three massage I've had from highly qualified licensed therapists, and I get them regularly. The pressure was absolutely perfect, and his conscious breathwork reminded me to also focus on my breath. The work felt very intentional, with clear responsiveness to areas that needed more attention. 10 out of 10.

Hemasseur's Take

Clients consistently praise Alex for his intuitive, responsive approach to massage and his ability to identify and release tension in areas they didn't know needed work. His combination of deep tissue, myofascial release, and Be Activated nervous system work produces measurable physical results — improved flexibility, reduced chronic pain, better breathing, and noticeable postural changes — while also providing emotional relief and a sense of safety.

What sets him apart is his attentiveness during sessions: he listens actively, checks in throughout, adjusts pressure and technique in real time, and creates a space where clients feel seen and held. Many mention that a single session with Alex outperformed multiple visits to other therapists, and a significant number have become regular clients who credit him with transforming both their physical health and their relationship with their own bodies.
