About
Graduated from East West College of Healing Arts in Portland in March 2025, I completed 800 hours of intensive massage therapy training that grounded me in something I didn't expect to find: a framework for listening. My instructors taught me anatomy, yes, but more importantly, they taught me that every body tells a story, and my job is to learn that story in the session itself.
I'm a queer practitioner working in Portland, and I built my approach around the idea that your massage should be as effective as it is restorative. That means when you're on my table in the 97211 area, we're not just getting you a generic full-body session. We're collaborating. I start by asking real questions about what's pulling on your system, then I assess your movement in real time so we're always moving toward your actual goals.
My sessions follow a rhythm. I begin with targeted releases using Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point work to address what's asking for attention most urgently. Then I move into a long anchor of steady, rhythmic work, mixing Swedish and deeper techniques so you can feel your body ground into the space. I finish with balancing work inspired by structural and manual therapy principles, so you leave integrated and actually feeling the difference.
I work both in my studio and mobile throughout Portland and surrounding areas. Sessions are unhurried. I don't rush, and I text back promptly when you reach out. What matters to me is that you walk out of here feeling better than when you came in.

Testimonials
Duncan listens carefully to what you need, designs each massage around your specific goals, and delivers both therapeutic relief and deep relaxation. He's a problem-solver and genuinely skilled at what he does. I left feeling relief from my symptoms and was walking taller and lighter. I highly recommend him.
Duncan was professional and intuitive, seeming to know what my body needed without me having to explain it all. He uses a range of techniques that effectively target major muscle groups. The work he did on my quads, legs, and forearms was some of the best massage work I've received in years. Highly recommend.
Duncan found exactly where my tension was and worked skillfully with my previous injuries. My body feels dramatically better since seeing him, and I've already booked more sessions.
By my second visit, I knew I'd found my regular therapist. The session was exactly what I needed: relaxing, restorative, and deeply effective. My immediate concerns were addressed with the right pressure level, and I left feeling incredible. I actually woke the next day startled by how different my body felt, but as I moved around, I realized I felt amazing. That sense of lightness and relief stayed with me all day and it's something I hadn't felt in a long time.
He also makes communication easy. He asks thoughtful questions that show genuine interest in how you're feeling and what you need. It's clear he actually cares about helping you feel better, not just going through the motions.
The space itself is great: comfortable, private, and calm—without the usual distractions of commercial studios. I really valued that uninterrupted focus. I'm already looking at the schedule to book my next session. Highly recommended.
