About
My training began at the Cortiva Institute in Boston, where I completed my massage therapy licensure in 2015. Before that, I apprenticed in Swedish massage in Blackwood, New Jersey in 2012. Those early years taught me the importance of meeting clients exactly where they are — not rushing, not imposing, but listening with my hands and my whole presence.
I've been practicing massage and bodywork in Portland since 2012, and over these 14 years I've come to understand something fundamental: healing touch needs to happen in a space where you feel truly safe and held without judgment. That's what I work to create in every session.
My approach blends several modalities — Biodynamic, Myofascial Release, Swedish, Lomi-Lomi, Deep Tissue, and others — because bodies are different and what works for one person might not work for another. I also offer Cupping, Reiki, Intuitive Energywork, and Couples Massage Coaching, along with Meditation and Breathwork Coaching if you're looking to deepen your practice.
I work primarily with gay male clients but serve people across the entire gender and orientation spectrum. What matters to me is that you feel empowered to ask for what you need during our time together. If you want more pressure, lighter touch, to talk through something, or to sit in silence — that's all welcome here. We work collaboratively toward healing.
I'm fully vaccinated and boosted for COVID, Monkeypox, and Flu, and I continue to stay current with boosters as they become available. When you reach out, please include a photo in your message so I can respond promptly and we can get you scheduled. I'm here in Portland and the surrounding areas, ready to help you feel held again.

Testimonials
The skill in his hands is outstanding, and I'm counting down to my next session. I've been to Erik multiple times now and each massage is exactly what my body needs. He truly knows how to read and work with the body, and he's someone you can talk to easily. I especially appreciate how fast he responds to messages. Even on days he's booked up, he still gets back to you. Seriously, book an appointment with him.
Erik carries a calm and welcoming energy. He's attentive to what each client needs and makes sure you're comfortable and cared for the whole time. He understands how the body works, its mechanics and movement patterns. Throughout the session he checks in with you to make any tweaks or give extra attention where needed. You're in skilled, thoughtful hands.
My time working with Erik was truly healing and transformative. I felt completely secure and deeply supported in a quiet, nurturing space. He gave me room to finally release what's been weighing on me. As the session progressed, my breathing deepened, my muscles softened, and I found a real sense of connection back to myself. I left feeling more at ease and lighter than before, and I'm grateful beyond words. I'm already planning my next appointment.
I can't speak highly enough of the bodywork I received from Erik. The moment he started working, his calm, grounded presence and deep experience became clear. His blend of techniques combined with his distinctive style created a healing experience, and he moved with patience and respect throughout. From the first introduction through the end of the session, I felt supported and genuinely cared for. A complete restoration on every level.
I'd call him more of a clinician than just a masseur. I chose Erik based on his photos and what he described offering. My first session didn't include any health concerns I mentioned up front, yet after that excellent, precise massage, I ended up discussing some muscle issues I'd been having. His approach was both strategic and accurate. The clinical way he works combined with the smoothness of his touch kept me coming back, and I'm already looking forward to my next appointment.
Erik's background in mental health really came through in how he approached our first meeting. He asked questions, explained the session in ways that helped calm my nervous system. I've been getting massage for years and never experienced this level of sensitivity to trauma. He's raised the bar and honestly should be the standard. His bodywork skillfully combines real pressure with deep relaxation — I left feeling like I'd had both incredibly effective AND healing work done at once. His space is beautiful and peaceful too.
That was a magical massage experience. Erik is extremely skilled at flowing with whatever your body presents, and he brings both intuition and solid clinical training to his work. He spent real time talking with me before and after, and I walked away feeling truly heard and seen. His care was genuine. I'm definitely booking a longer session next time.
