About

Fifteen years of working with bodies has taught me something that can't be rushed or faked: people know when they're being truly listened to. That's what I bring to my studio in Portland. I've spent those years learning how to hear what your body is actually asking for, not just what's on the surface.

I trained in massage therapy at New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque, and what I learned there became the foundation for everything I do now. But the real education came afterward—working with clients who were burned out, neurodivergent, dealing with chronic pain, or simply looking for a space where they could be fully themselves. As someone who's walked through burnout myself, I understand how much healing can happen when you finally feel safe in your own skin.

My work blends several approaches:

I'm here for sensitive souls, for LGBTQIA+ folks, for anyone who's been to a lot of bodyworkers and felt like something was still missing. My studio in Portland offers a calm, private space with a heated table, free parking, and a secured entrance. I also offer mobile sessions, serving Portland and surrounding areas.

I offer a sliding scale with no questions asked—text or email me for the booking link and to see what that looks like for you.

Testimonials

The massage was excellent. Jonathan was kind and professional, checking in on my comfort and keeping me informed throughout. I appreciated their offer to add cupping. The whole experience felt professional yet relaxed and personal, not corporate at all.

A session with Jonathan was far more than massage. With each touch I sank deeper into one of the most relaxed states I've experienced in a long time. I found myself releasing and healing emotionally and spiritually as well. I felt like I came home to myself in a fuller way. A shoulder issue I'd carried for 12 years completely resolved. Jonathan is a gifted healer with intuitive, gentle hands and creates a welcoming, relaxed space.

I've had chronic body pain and seen many bodyworkers over the years. Jonathan's sessions stand out—I leave feeling more integrated and whole than ever before. He listens to my body at a level beyond just muscles and tension. As a trans person, I've always felt safe and comfortable with him.

Hemasseur's Take

Clients describe Jonathan's work as operating at a deeper level than typical massage, with specific outcomes including full resolution of long-standing pain and profound emotional release during sessions.

Consistently praised for making people feel safe and comfortable—especially clients from marginalized communities—and for approaching the work with intuitive listening rather than a formula. His casual but fully professional presence, combined with genuine technical skill, creates an experience that feels personal and grounded.
