About

Everest College's year-long massage therapy and bodywork program in Seattle taught me the fundamentals—technique, anatomy, presence—but the real education came afterward. Over the past 12 years, I've worked in spas and private studios across the country: Kabuki Springs and Japanese Baths in San Francisco, Vida Ayurvedic Concept Spa in Seattle, and here in Portland, Oregon, where I've built a home practice and spent time working on Buddhist retreat land in California. That span of time and those different spaces taught me how to listen, how to feel what a body needs, and how to adapt my hands accordingly.

My studio sits two blocks from Alberta Park in northeast Portland—a private, beautiful healing space with a wood-burning stove for those cold winter mornings, air conditioning for summer relief, and a skylight framing a juniper tree above the table. The table warmer and comfortable face cradle are there because comfort matters. Your comfort, your safety, your sense of being genuinely cared for.

My massage style flows together acupressure therapy, deep tissue techniques, reflexology on the feet, and a comprehensive integration period at the end. I work with a warm-up that gets your circulation moving, then I listen to what your body is telling me. If something is bothering you—neck tension from desk work, lower back tightness, anywhere you're holding stress—I will work with you until it feels resolved. You can also come in simply for a full-body reset and refresh, no agenda except to feel better.

I offer a warm, welcoming space for everyone. LGBTQ+ inclusive, judgment-free, respectful of all backgrounds. I'm serving Portland and surrounding areas both in-studio and mobile within a 10-mile radius. Please reach out via email or phone. Texting is preferred since I usually don't answer unknown numbers.

Testimonials

This was one of the best massages I've ever experienced. The wood-burning fireplace made the studio feel like a true escape from the city, and I appreciated how unique and welcoming the space was. I came in with severe neck pain from sitting at a desk all day, and by the end of the session it was completely gone. I'll definitely be returning.

Lyle created a peaceful, relaxing environment that felt warm and comfortable throughout my session. The pressure and technique were exactly right, and Lyle seemed to instinctively know where my body needed the most attention. I'll absolutely come back the next time I'm in Portland.
