About
Twenty-six years of hands-on work in the massage field has taught me what actually works. I completed my triple certification at the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts in Atlanta back in 2000, where I trained in therapeutic Swedish massage, clinical sports and performance massage, and neuromuscular therapy. That foundation has carried me through thousands of sessions, and it shows in how I listen to a client's body and adjust on the fly.
I've been working with clients in Providence and surrounding areas for over two decades now, and I've learned that every person who walks through my studio door has a different story. You might be an athlete fine-tuning your training, someone managing chronic pain that's worn you down, or just someone who needs to shake off the stress of the week. I have the skills to personalize each session to match what you actually need, whether that's deep tissue work, trigger point release, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular techniques, sports massage, Swedish, or Watsu.
My in-home studio in Providence is a safe space for all bi, gay, straight, and trans men. Hydrotherapy comes with every session because I believe in wrapping the bodywork in real care. If you want to turn a session into a full spa day, I offer body scrubs and grooming services too.
Text me to book. I use an online appointment system so you can see my schedule and book in real time. Same-day slots do open up sometimes, but advance scheduling works best.

Testimonials
I got a massage from Rick today and the whole experience was wonderful. The studio itself felt calm and serene, and Rick really paid attention to making sure I felt at ease throughout. He listened to what I wanted in terms of pressure and adjusted everything perfectly. I'm looking forward to my next visit, especially since I get to relax in the hot tub beforehand.
Hemasseur's Take
Rick's client reported feeling genuinely comfortable and cared for during the session, with Rick adjusting pressure to match their preferences. The peaceful studio environment and access to the hot tub before the massage created a full spa experience that left them eager to return.
