About
Deep tissue work isn't just about applying pressure. It's about listening with your hands, understanding what your body is telling you, and knowing exactly where to work and how long to stay there. That's what drew me away from technology and into massage therapy.
I'm Anthony, and I run Body First Massage, a private studio on the east slope of Queen Anne in Seattle. From my location close to downtown and South Lake Haven, I work with clients who've tried other therapists and walked away frustrated, or people who've never experienced massage deep enough to actually change how their body feels.
My work blends deep tissue, Lomi Lomi, myofascial release, neuromuscular technique, sports massage, Swedish, and trigger point therapy. I don't use a cookie-cutter menu. Instead, we talk about what's really going on—chronic pain, old injuries, stress held in your shoulders, whatever brought you in—and I build a session around that. Some clients need slow, sustained pressure into the fascia. Others need me to work the trigger points that are pulling their hips or neck out of alignment. A few just want to relax and let the tension go.
What energizes me is the relationship. When you come back week after week, I learn your body. I remember where that knot lived last month and whether it's finally releasing. I notice when your breathing shifts, when you're holding less tension in your jaw. That connection, combined with hands that know how to feel what's really happening beneath the surface, is what makes the difference between a nice massage and one that actually improves your health and life.
Testimonials
Anthony's massage was excellent. It's obvious he's put in the work to develop real skill, and he actually listens to what each client needs. He was welcoming, professional, and genuinely engaged with my experience. I'm looking forward to booking again.
After months of searching for the right therapist, I found Anthony. He has genuine skill and insight—you can tell he's invested in understanding the body deeply. Since my first session two months ago, I've been coming weekly for the first time ever. He's resolved two chronic shoulder problems and is making real progress on my hips. Beyond his hands, he's warm and genuinely interested in his clients. His technique is rare and worth learning from.

FAQ
How much does deep tissue massage cost in Seattle?
Deep tissue massage with Anthony starts at $130 for a 60-minute session at Body First Massage on Queen Anne. Longer sessions—90 minutes for $180 or two hours for $240—allow more time to address chronic tension and structural issues.
What is Lomi Lomi massage, and does Anthony offer it in Seattle?
Lomi Lomi is a Hawaiian massage technique that uses flowing, intuitive strokes and pressure to release tension throughout the body. Anthony integrates Lomi Lomi into his custom sessions, often combining it with deep tissue and myofascial release for clients seeking both relaxation and therapeutic depth.
Can massage help with chronic shoulder and hip pain?
Yes. Targeted massage therapy can address chronic pain by releasing trigger points, improving tissue mobility, and restoring structural balance. Anthony's clients report resolution of long-standing shoulder issues and ongoing progress on hip tension through consistent, skilled work that targets the root of the problem rather than just the symptom.
Does Anthony offer same-day or evening appointments in Seattle?
Anthony's studio is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., which means evening appointments are available. Same-day bookings depend on his schedule; contact him directly to check availability.
What payment methods does Body First Massage accept?

Is there mobile massage in Seattle, or do I need to visit the studio?
Anthony offers both in-studio massage at Body First Massage on Queen Anne and mobile massage, so you can choose what fits your schedule and comfort level.
What does myofascial release do, and how is it different from regular massage?
Myofascial release targets the connective tissue surrounding muscle to improve mobility and reduce pain caused by tension or injury. Unlike general massage, it uses sustained pressure to lengthen and reorganize fascia, often producing longer-lasting relief from stiffness and chronic issues.
