About

Sixteen years of working with people's bodies has taught me something simple: when you slow down and listen to what someone needs, real relief happens. I've spent nearly two decades learning how deep tissue work can quiet the tension you didn't even realize you were holding, and how a thoughtful approach makes all the difference between a good session and one you actually feel grateful for.

I'm AJ, and I work out of my studio in the McCully area of Honolulu, but I also come to you—serving Honolulu and surrounding areas within five miles. Whether you book a session at the studio or I bring the table to your place, the work stays the same: Swedish-style deep tissue and sports massage, done with an open mind and real care for who you are.

I meet a lot of people—locals and travelers, all walks of life—and I genuinely enjoy building relationships that last. My studio has a calm feel: soft music, candles, cold water, a solid table, and a shower if you need it. I also work with a few clients on nutrition consulting when it makes sense for their recovery.

Message me about the massage packages I offer. There are discounts for prepaid bodywork, and special rates for folks who are new or coming back regularly. Mahalo for thinking of your own care.

The room was peaceful with nice relaxing sounds that helped me unwind. I'm glad I booked and will be back. An excellent experience from beginning to end.

I had a therapeutic massage with AJ after my strength training left me with tight muscles, and his work was excellent. I felt a real release of stress when I left. The space was calming and his approach made for a truly healing experience. I'd recommend him for anyone dealing with pain, stress, or just wanting to take care of themselves.

FAQ

How much does a massage cost in Honolulu?

A 60-minute session at my studio runs $150, and 90 minutes is $200. If I come to you, it's $165 for 60 minutes or $215 for 90. I also offer prepaid package discounts—message me for details on what works best for your budget.

Does AJ offer mobile massage in Honolulu?

Yes, I come to clients throughout Honolulu and the surrounding area within a five-mile radius. I bring my table, music, and everything needed for a full deep tissue or sports massage session right in your home or office.

What's the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?

Swedish massage uses longer, flowing strokes to warm and relax muscles. Deep tissue goes slower and firmer to reach the tension underneath, which is what I focus on—working into the spots that hold stress. I can adjust the pressure to match what your body needs.

Is sports massage good for muscle soreness?

Absolutely. Sports massage helps with tight muscles from training, prevents injury, and speeds recovery. I've worked with clients dealing with soreness from strength training, running, and everyday activities—deep tissue work reaches the knots that regular stretching can't touch.

How long has AJ been doing massage?

I've been practicing massage for 16 years. That time has taught me how to listen to what each person's body is telling me and where the real tension lives.

Can I book a same-day massage in Honolulu?

It depends on my schedule. Message me directly with your preferred date and time, and I'll let you know if I can fit you in. I try to be flexible for clients who need something urgent.

What payment methods does AJ accept?

I take cash and Venmo. Let me know which works best for you when you book.

Are there discounts for regular massage clients?

Yes. I offer special rates for regular clients and prepaid bodywork packages. Message me to ask about the options that fit your needs.
