About

Twenty-six years of working with athletes, active clients, and people in pain has taught me one thing: the body doesn't heal in isolation. A tight shoulder isn't just a shoulder problem. A sore knee isn't just a knee problem. Everything's connected, and finding real relief means looking at the whole picture.

I trained in shiatsu massage at the Kanagawa Institute in Othello, Washington—deep, methodical work that taught me to read the body's energy and find where tension is actually living. That foundation shaped how I work today. Whether I'm using acupressure, deep tissue, Swedish technique, lymphatic drainage, or any of the other methods in my toolkit, I'm always asking: where's the source? What does this person's body need right now?

My studio in Arlington, Virginia is set up for exactly that kind of work. Calm space, good light, aromatherapy in the air, and a table that holds you safely while we work. Every session is customized for you—not a template, not a routine, but a real conversation with your body about what it needs to feel and function its best. I also serve clients throughout Arlington and surrounding areas with mobile massage, bringing the same quality bodywork to your home.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing chronic tension, training for something, or just need to reset after months of stress, I build each massage around what your body is asking for. That's how healing actually happens.

FAQ

How much does a 60-minute massage cost in Arlington?

Studio massage in Arlington starts at $140 for 60 minutes, which is below the local average. Mobile massage to your home or office runs $190 for the same duration, and both rates include full customization based on what your body needs that day.

Do you offer mobile massage in Arlington, Virginia?

Yes, I provide mobile massage throughout Arlington and surrounding areas within a 10-mile radius. I bring a professional massage table, aromatherapy, music, and candles to your home or office for the same quality bodywork available in my studio.

What's the difference between shiatsu and deep tissue massage?

Shiatsu uses rhythmic pressure and works with the body's energy meridians, while deep tissue targets muscle tension with firmer, sustained pressure. I trained in shiatsu at the Kanagawa Institute and blend both techniques depending on what your body needs—some clients benefit most from one, others from a combination.

Are there discounts available for massage packages in Arlington?

Yes, I offer discounts on prepaid bodywork packages, and first-time clients, students, active military, dancers, bodybuilders, and others qualify for special rates. Ask when you book—I'm happy to find an option that works for your situation.

How long does it take for massage to help with chronic pain?

Real relief usually builds over a series of sessions rather than a single visit. With 26 years of experience working with active clients and people managing long-term tension, I focus on finding the source of your pain and supporting your healing step by step—which means improvement you can actually feel over time.

What techniques do you use for sports recovery?

I work with athletes using deep tissue, orthopedic massage, acupressure, and lymphatic drainage—techniques that address muscle recovery, range of motion, and tissue healing. Each session is built around your specific sport or training, and my experience with sports teams means I understand what your body's dealing with.

Can I book a same-day appointment in Arlington?

I'm open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and accept same-day bookings based on availability. Reach out via phone, text, or email with what you need, and we'll find a time that works.
