About

Seventeen years of hands-on massage therapy has taught me what really works. When you spend nearly two decades working with clients' bodies, you start to see patterns, understand what relief actually looks like, and develop a sense for exactly where tension is hiding.

I came to massage therapy with a background in fitness training and nutrition, and that foundation shapes everything I do now. I'm not just moving skin and muscle. I'm thinking about how your body moves, how your posture affects your pain, how stress settles into specific places. I trained in Exercise Science at Bryan University in Tempe, Arizona, and then completed my massage therapy certification at the Cortiva Institute in Orlando, Florida. That combination matters because it means I can read your body in layers.

My studio in the Ballston area of Arlington, Virginia, is set up for real work. Heated massage table, aromatherapy, hot towels, bottled water, music that doesn't intrude. I also offer mobile massage, so if you're in Arlington or the surrounding areas and prefer to be at home, I come to you.

I work with a range of techniques. Acupressure, trigger point therapy, deep tissue, myofascial release, sports massage, Swedish, reflexology, aromatherapy, chair massage, and hot stone. But here's what matters more than the technique name: I listen to your intake conversation, I pay attention during the session, and I check in with you to make sure the pressure and focus are actually serving your body.

Clients tell me they leave feeling different. Not just relaxed, but restored. Relief from pain they've carried for months. Better mobility. A sense that someone took their discomfort seriously and did something real about it.

I also offer fitness training, nutrition consulting, and personal training if you want to go deeper with prevention and strength.

You deserve a massage that goes beyond ordinary. Book your session today.

Testimonials

Mac gave me an outstanding massage. He picked up on the specific areas I mentioned in my intake conversation and also found spots deeper in my body where I'd been dealing with lingering discomfort without even realizing it. He stayed attentive throughout the session and checked in with me, and I walked out of his studio feeling restored and completely satisfied. I'm already booking my next appointment.

Mac is intuitive, attentive, skilled, and professional. I felt at ease from the moment I arrived, and his studio is warm and inviting. He used a blend of techniques including some chiropractic-style work, and the result was like waking up from deep rest. The effects have stayed with me, and I feel like a completely new person. His experience shows in how he finds and treats problem areas with real understanding. I highly recommend him and can't wait for my next appointment. He's become my permanent massage therapist.

Hemasseur's Take

Clients consistently report that Mac identifies and releases pain they've carried for months, often finding problem areas they didn't know existed. His combination of technical skill, attentive presence during sessions, and ability to integrate multiple massage modalities leaves people feeling restored rather than simply relaxed.

Repeated visitors praise his professional environment, genuine listening during intake, and the specific relief they experience in areas like shoulders, back, and overall mobility. Many describe his work as going beyond typical massage, crediting his years of experience and his background in fitness science for the depth of his understanding.

FAQ

How much does a massage cost in Arlington, Virginia?

Studio sessions start at $150 for 60 minutes, $210 for 90 minutes, and $280 for 120 minutes. Mobile massage rates vary by distance and duration. That $150 rate is below the Arlington average of $131 because I'm pricing for accessibility while keeping the quality high.

Do you offer mobile massage in Arlington?

Yes, I provide mobile massage throughout Arlington and the surrounding areas. You receive the same quality massage in your home or hotel that you'd get in my Ballston studio, including heated table, aromatherapy, and hot towels.

What massage techniques do you use for deep tissue work?

I combine deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release to address chronic tension and problem areas. I also integrate acupressure and sports massage techniques depending on what your body needs.

Can I book a massage today in Arlington?

My studio is open 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today. Contact me to check availability and schedule your session.

Do you work with military personnel or athletes?

Yes. I offer discounts for active military, military veterans, bodybuilders, and airline crews. Ask for details when you book.

What should I expect during my first massage?

We start with an intake conversation about any pain, injuries, or areas you want me to focus on. I listen carefully and check in during the massage to make sure the pressure and techniques are working for you. The goal is to leave feeling restored and relieved.

Do you offer services beyond massage?

Yes. I also provide cupping, fitness training, nutrition consulting, and personal training. My background in exercise science and nutrition allows me to support your recovery and wellness in multiple ways.
