Another excellent session with Don. At this point I'm a regular and it's wonderful having a therapist who knows me and understands what I enjoy in a session. Recently I've made sure to tell Don what I prefer and he listens and follows through. He went straight to work on my back that I'd mentioned was tight and stiff. Don knows I need deep tissue work but he's smart about loosening me up without making me want to cry out. He starts with my shoulders and neck. Then comes my favorite part—the warmth of hot stones on my tight shoulders and neck, pure bliss. I catch myself grinning as I feel the table move a little. I know what's coming next: Don's specialty, barefoot massage. Standing on me with nothing to hold onto, Don moves through everything from gentle cradling of my neck to serious deep pressure that leaves my back loose and relaxed. The pressure applied that way is just easier to accept. He works my arms and gives special attention to my hands since they spend so much time on the keyboard. Then comes the lighter work on my legs and especially my feet, which nearly puts me to sleep every single time. That's always my favorite part of the session because it leaves me completely at peace.
